Formed in Dublin, Ireland, AM are a hard working melodic black/death metal fusion band. AM have influences from many different types of music and their songs and music are a melting pot for many different styles. AM do not believe in being stuck in one music stable and this allows them to write music that they enjoy playing and that fans from many different backrounds can enjoy.
Over the years since AM were formed, under the name Apocalyptic Masterpiece, they have seen many members come and go and have played a great deal of live shows. AM have recorded 2 CD's and have appeared on a compalation CD in 2007, showcasing Irish talent with the track Wrath of Oblivion, which was from AM's Burn the Christians EP in 2007. In 2008 AM recorded a live album showcasing their music and their sound as a live band.
Today AM's make up is of 3 core members who meld very well together and are the soul of the band. Each member is from a different background and brings their own unique stlye and outlook on how the music of AM should be portrayed. Music and lyrics are written by each member so that they can make the best possible music and write the best possible songs.
AM's sound is a unique metal sound that stands out. It mixes elements of Black and Death metal with Jazz and traditional folk music to bring the listener on a musicial journey. AM's heavy guitars with bouncy riffs, distorted and clean vocals and hard, rythmic drums make a sound that must be heard.
